Sand Printer Process - very quick and economical

Sand cores are printed layer by layer. The 3D database of the various cores will be used to place the cores within the build envelope of the sand printer. Several cores may be printed at the same time.

Premixed sand is applied to the build platform. The print head sprays the binder selectively onto each layer of sand. The binder reacts with the activator in the sand and binds the sand grains with each other. This process will be repeated layer by layer until all cores are printed. Afterwards the loose sand will be removed.
